12-year-old Virginia woman kidnapped by Texas man Kaleb Merritt
HENRY COUNTY, VA. – An AMBER alert for a missing 12-year-old Virginia girl has been canceled after she was found safe, according to Virginia State Police.
Soldiers said Saturday night that Allie Michele Broadaway, who was believed to be in “extreme danger” and was last seen at around 1pm on Friday at 2373 Reed Creek Drive in Bassett, was “safely located”.
The man believed to have been abducted by 21-year-old caleb Christopher Merritt of Spring, Texas has been taken into custody, according to soldiers.
Merritt was believed to be driving a 2000 light green Mercury Grand Marquis with Texas license plate DMP-2294.
No further details on the case were released late Saturday.
