The Central softball team ended their midweek at Simpson with a single game on Thursday. The Dutch scored a 2-1 win with a 13-5 win with 6 innings on the road. Central has completed five runs in both the first and sixth innings to get the game out of reach. At the top was Megan Stuhr with two hits and three RBI. Sydni Huisman was the winner in helping the Dutch win 8-6 on aggregate and 4-4 at the American Rivers Conference. They’ll be back in action on Saturday at home to start a weekend series against Dubuque.
The men’s tennis team was in Wartburg and scored a 5-4 victory. Individual wins came from David Boschma, Brad DiLeo and Trey Melvin. The double teams Boschma / Melvin and St. John / Finken rounded off the victory. The Dutch are back in action in Wesleyan Nebraska on Saturday.
Today’s events include the track and field teams serving at the William Penn Invitational in Oskaloosa, the baseball team starting a weekend series in Dubuque, and the women’s tennis team hosting Simpson.
