Civil Works Start for an SRTF Well being Intervention in Deir Ez-Zor – Syrian Arab Republic

Deir Es-Zor – Sunday, June 6th 2021 – The construction work for the health intervention of the SRTF began, “Provision of primary and specialized medical services in Deir Ez-Zor Governorate” today. This construction work includes the refurbishment and expansion of two buildings that will be converted into a primary health center (PHCC), as well as electricity and sewage works.

This health intervention addresses critical health problems through five main activities: providing primary health services, supporting a blood bank, medical laboratory and thalassemia center, and distributing personal protective equipment (PPE) to schools.

With a budget of EUR 2.5 million, 202,124 people and over a million indirect beneficiaries are expected to benefit from this eight-month intervention.
