Dominican ladies proceed unbeaten run
Tanya Bills and Claire Brown scored goals in the second half to help the Dominican University women’s football team beat the Academy of Art 2-0 on Sunday.
The penguins (4-0) got on the board when Bills made an assist from Sofia Odron in the 56th minute. Brown doubled his lead with a penalty in the 78th minute.
Dominicans amassed 18 shots for the game – 10 of them on target – while Defense limited the Urban Knights to a single shot attempt off target.
Dominicans conceded goals in both halves when the Penguins fell 2-0 against the Academy of Art. Breki Einarsson scored in the seventh minute and Gilly Miller doubled the lead in the 73rd minute.
The penguins (1-3) were outbid with 13-6, with 10 of these shots being the finish line for the Urban Knights.
