Firefighters battle huge fireplace in Lawrence Sunday – Boston 25 Information

LAWRENCE, Mass. – Lawrence firefighters fought a large fire that reached Saratoga Street, Bennington Street, and Myrtle Street in the city. This fire, which started sometime on Sunday evening, caused officials to close several streets in the area.

The fire reached five alarms and severely damaged at least three homes.

“My aunt lost everything in this fire,” said Adriana Morales. “Fortunately everyone came out well, material things of course not, but she and her boyfriend are fine.”

Woburn firefighters tweeted that the town’s fire department had been headed to Lawrence to help fight the fire, as had North Andover Fire. Fire departments from Worcester and Haverhill also helped.

The Red Cross was there to help those affected by the fire on Sunday.
