Man Killed, One other Injured After Cover Collapses at Pullman Enterprise – NBC Chicago
One man died and another person was injured after a canopy collapsed at an off-track betting facility in the Pullman neighborhood of Chicago on Wednesday.
According to the Chicago Fire Department, a canopy on the Club Hawthorne Chicago facility on the 11200 block of South Corliss Avenue gave way, holding at least one person under it.
Another person was injured in the collapse, but it was unclear if they were trapped.
The Chicago Fire Department posted a video of the rescue on social media accounts:

The person trapped under the canopy was pulled out and taken to Christ Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The other person was taken to Christ Hospital, where their condition has stabilized.
According to official information, there is no damage to the main structure of the building.
