New enterprise opens in Martinsville after proprietor picks up new ability through the pandemic

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (WDBJ) – A Martinsville store opened and moved to a stationary location.

Unique Styles and Designs offers event decor and floral arrangements.

While the events side of the business slowed during the pandemic, the owner, Shatera Robertson, used that time to develop a new skill and expand her services.

“I decided to get more experience, I went to flower shops so it helped me take my business to another level during the pandemic,” Robertson said.

Robertson is also excited to join the Uptown Martinsville revitalization effort.
