PREP SPORTS ROUNDUP: Hawks defeat Grayson | Excessive College Sports activities

LaRue County’s boys’ basketball took a home win in the team’s first game since last Sunday on Sunday. As hosts of Grayson County, the Hawks beat the Cougars by 60:52.

Cutter Boley went ahead with 12 points. Jeremiah Belton followed with 11 points, just ahead of Kellen Bowen with 10 points. Carson Childress scored eight points, Preston Self seven points. Jaxson Thomas and Caden Davis earned six points each.

Even led the team in rebounds by eight. Belton was the team’s assists leader at seven.

LaRue County (9-1) receives Bethlehem on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

GIRLS BASKET BALL

MEADE COUNTY 58, LARUE COUNTY 46. The Lady Waves ended a three-game skid Saturday with a street win over the Lady Hawks.

Peyton Bradley led Meade County with 19 points. Jenna Gallimore followed with 13 points. Emily Myers added 11 points.

LaRue County was led by Natalie Gentry with 17 points. Maleah English scored 10 points.

Meade County (7-6) travels to Louisville Tuesday to play Dupont Manual at 7:30 p.m.

LaRue County (3-8) hosts Green County on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
