Spectrum TV clients to get refund for canceled sports activities programming; right here’s how a lot
Syracuse, NY – Spectrum is giving its cable television customers a refund for any live sports programming they did not receive in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Most customers who subscribed to a Spectrum TV package as of July 31, 2020 will receive $ 17.73 on their February bill for sports programming, which was canceled earlier last year, the company said on Wednesday.
All private TV customers receive the discount, with the exception of subscribers to TV Essentials, a package that does not contain any sports programs.
The following statement is included in the bills for February: Due to the temporary COVID-related suspension of sport in 2020 and the resulting reduced sports programming, this bill includes a one-time credit of USD 17.73.
According to Spectrum, the discounts are the result of the company’s discussions with programming partners.
With most live sports canceled early last year, many sports programmers broadcast old “classic” games to fill the void. But that left customers without the live college and professional sports they paid for.
