If you haven’t seen a ribbon cutting ceremony in San Clemente, you are missing out on the fun. Fortunately, good times are on the way.
After months of learning how to handle them carefully, the San Clemente Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that it is time for ribbon cuts to reappear this spring if safe practices are in place.
We are ready to attend an event with clean hands, social distance and mask. If such an event doesn’t suit you now, don’t worry – we look forward to seeing you on the street.
Band sections are designed to highlight, celebrate, and publicize the hardworking local business owner or operator who has something exciting to share with our community. They offer companies the opportunity to thank their supporters, meet the people behind the city and introduce their employees.
Ribbon cutting events include store openings, anniversaries, new locations, new owners, renovations and “We’re still in business, come and see us” celebrations.
If you are a San Clemente business and want to do a safe ribbon cut, this is how it works:
- Contact the San Clemente Chamber of Commerce at [email protected] to secure your desired weekday event date. Tape cuts are usually held on Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- The friendly chamber staff will invite local city and legislative officials as well as chamber representatives. These people often partake in and present beautiful certificates that can be issued at your place of business.
- While your company is free to invite your own guests or favorite VIPs, the Chamber will promote the Ribbon Cutting Event among our large network of business members and other community contacts.
- Event photos are taken and shared on social media and published in the San Clemente Journal.
That’s it. Ain’t it great
You may be wondering about band sections for non-brick-and-mortar businesses that are equally worth celebrating. These events can take place in front of the Chamber’s office or at another location outside of your choice.
Ribbon cutting ceremonies are for members of the Chamber of Commerce. Please inquire about the infinite benefits. The chamber offers ongoing notoriety and community connections; Memberships are extremely valuable and affordable, and we look forward to welcoming you!
These events can bring us together (6 feet apart), allow us to celebrate our resilience, and get to know each other safely and responsibly.
We are ready to see you cut that ribbon!
If you have any questions about planning a tape cutting for your business or want to learn more about membership, contact [email protected].
