Spring is getting closer!
At the Treetops Resort in Gaylord, this marks the beginning of the golf season. Each year they host a series of golf events that entertain, inspire and challenge golfers from across the country.
Why talk about golf tournaments in March? They fill up FAST!
“We are open” Open – May 1st
This one-day event kicks off the season in style with four fights on the Fazio Premier. Closing date: April 26, 2021 (or if the tournament is sold out)
Couples Jamboree – June 27th, 28th, 29th
This is a fun event for couples, a crowd and the perfect opportunity to make new friends who love to play golf. This 45-hole event includes an 18-hole scramble and an 18-hole shamble as well as a 9-hole mixed shamble on the world-famous par 3 course. Closing date: June 20, 2021 (or if the tournament is sold out)
Treetops Cup – 4,5,6. July
It started in 2009 when 8 Americans competed against 8 Canadians in the Ryder Cup format (technically 6, but our boys from Ohio liked to be honorary Canadians). Now Treetops regularly sees 40 to 50 players on both sides. The rivalry is great, but the camaraderie is better. It starts on Sunday with a festive banquet dinner, at which the pairings for the four-a-side and four-ball games are announced on Monday. Thirty-six holes of team games are followed by another dinner on Monday, which is concluded with individual games on Tuesday.
Patriot Golf Day Shootout – September 2,3,4,5
The event that raises funds for the Folds of Honor Foundation, a charity that awards grants to families of the fallen or wounded. Along with great golf and food, they will pay tribute to those who have served and serve and you are guaranteed to be inspired.
Pepsi Fall Charity Invitational – October 3rd, 3rd, 5th
The 34th annual event supports Otsego County’s charities and is the grandfather of them all! The event that everyone else (anywhere in the world) will be measured. Funds raised through this tournament have helped countless organizations over the years, and with your participation and support, Treetops hopes to kick it out of the park this year! This four person scramble event seats 108 teams, but don’t let that fool you as the field is usually filled by July 4th!
