The network’s much touted week of shooting in Los Angeles, which relied heavily on viral moments like Fallon’s parodies “Saved by the Bell” and “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” is 40 percent above recent averages. For adults between 18 and 49 years of age, the average Monday through Thursday in the key demo is 1.4, according to Nielsen’s Local People Meters.
Tonight is up 27 percent on the previous quarterly average, with a rating of 3.3 in households with a measured market. The last time Fallon averaged such strong numbers was eleven months ago, just weeks into his current tenure.
Its online impression was also lifted. Today’s reunion with Saved by the Bell has seen almost 20 million views on YouTube in the day and a half since it was first released.
